About

In June 2020 during the beginning of The Summer of Coronavirus, Anna asked me a very simple question: “Do you want to resell LEGO?”

I grew up with LEGO bricks for most of my childhood, and had recently rediscovered them in the 2010s as a way to relax & destress at home, as a sort of “meditation by numbers”. My modern collection quickly grew as we were operating and managing a bar & music venue, and I was desperate for a calming activity to help reset my mind before the weekly grind. All of the hustle & bustle of restaurant management came to an abrupt end in 2019 when we closed the restaurant to focus on her health. We took some time off, took some trips, and began regrouping.

Enter COVID-19.

Suddenly my catering jobs & curated beer tastings were dried up, and the online work Anna was doing wasn’t quite as fruitful as it had been. Some unemployment payments had begun to come through, but I was left with a similar shock of my world coming to another abrupt halt, a year and a week after the closure of our bar & music venue.

What started as a simple, “Do you want to resell LEGO?” has turned into a steady stream of reselling a variety of unique vintage items. Vintage toys have led to vintage electronics, comic books have led to turn-of-the-century collectibles. Dungeons & Dragons miniatures, out-of-print DVDs, out-of-this-world vinyl, and of course, tiny interlocking bricks from Denmark.

Take a look.
